Frequently asked questions

-
Do I need to bring my own mat? While we encourage regular attendees to bring their own mats for comfort and hygiene, we provide high-quality mats for those without one.
-
Is it okay to drink water during class? While it is important to stay hydrated, we don't recommend drinking during the class if possible. Of course if you are very thirsty then you should have a drink, however drinking water during a yoga practice will stimulate the digestive process and interrupt physics of the practice. It will also mean there is water in your belly which may be uncomfortable in some asanas. It is recommended to stay hydrated before and after class so you don't need to drink during the class.
-
Can I eat before class? We recommend that you avoid eating a heavy meal at least 2-3 hours before your class. However, if you need a light snack to maintain your energy levels, consider something small and easily digestible like a piece of fruit about 30-60 minutes before your session. Eating too much too close to your yoga practice can make you feel uncomfortable and hinder your movements.
